Swoon lounge Chair by Spaces Copenhagen
Swoon is a comfortable yet sophisticated easy chair designed for lounge areas and private homes. Designed by Space Copenhagen in 2016, the chair stylishly combines an injection-moulded shell upholstered in either leather or fabric and soft fabric cushions.
In line Space Copenhagen's signature style, the look is both organic and contemporary. The one-piece chair shell merges into the armrest, back and seat to create a perfect sculpture.
The Swoon chair was born out of specific need with many modern interior designs. In their work with the conceptual interior design of hotels and restaurants all over the world, Signe Bindslev Henriksen and Peter Bundgaard Rützou of Space Copenhagen often had difficulties finding a small easy chair, something between a conventional lounge chair and a typical armchair, that would fit into lounge areas. With Swoon, they designed exactly the chair they were looking for.
A feature often overlooked in contemporary easy chair design is the need for adequate back support. Swoon has been carefully developed to provide support, and at the same time an immediate feeling of relaxation. The name 'Swoon' refers to an instant feeling of rapture and belief in the future.
